This week we go back in time with broadcasting legend Tim Lane. Tim reminisces about his career, reflects on some of his favourite moments and people in the game.
Tim, a proud Tasmanian, is celebrating his 50th year calling sporting events. Tim was first employed by the ABC, and has since worked with a number of well-known media providers since calling Melbourne home in 1979. Known for his broad knowledge and precise descriptions, Tim is regarded as one of Australia’s best sports broadcasters in both radio and television.
In this episode, Tim talks about where it all started, his favourite players to call in the 1990’s, the changes in radio coverage, the biggest story he’s covered on air, his favourite sporting moment and his favourite Grand Final moment.
A great listen with our thirty-third member of 'The 90's Club Footy Podcast'.
