In this episode, I got the chance to speak with Joe Doyle. Joe is an entrepreneur and property investor from Clondalkin, in Dublin.
Joe left school after his junior cert to become a bricklayer. By the age of 23, he set up a successful insurance property repair business, which went on to become the main name for insurance repairs in Dublin. In additions to growing his business, Joe also continued to grow his property portfolio.
However, it wasn’t all easy along the way. The recession came along and left Joe on the brink of bankruptcy.
Joe has appeared in the media many times on matters of insurance, entrepreneurship, and as a property investor – he also appeared in an RTE documentary ‘Taking Care of Business’ – a TV series that looked into the lives of ordinary Irish people who got into massive debt during the collapse of the Celtic Tiger, and as a result, left them struggling to stay in business.
This didn’t stop Joe! He had the will power to survive. And he came out on top!
Today, Joe focuses entirely on growing his property portfolio and sharing his knowledge of business to his large social media following. Joe also runs a number of business programs notably his ‘52 Steps To Building A Better Business, where he teaches self-employed and sole traders how to replicate in their business what he managed to do with his and also his ‘TRADESMANS SURVIVAL GUIDE’ where he documents and offered solutions for the main pitfalls that tradesmen all to often fall victim of.
