Daisy Muñoz is a first-generation graduate from the Southside of Oklahoma City. She received her B.A. in English Writing and a Master’s degree in Regional and City Planning from the University of Oklahoma, with a focus on community and economic development. She organizes and connects small businesses to resources to strengthen their venture through her Capital Access Manager role at Progress OKC. Daisy is the Ward 6 Representative for the MAPS 4 Citizens Advisory Committee, where she oversees the implementation of 16 city-wide projects. In addition, she is an advocate for the revitalization of the commercial district Calle Dos Cinco in Historic Capitol Hill and the mobilization of La 29, SW 29th Street, to bring people-oriented economic opportunity to her community. Her goal is to strengthen the relationship between communities and planning agencies in Oklahoma City.
