In this episode we read Chapter 17 where God instructed His people that all sacrifices must be made in the tabernacle (this law would make sure they didn’t follow the ritual practice of other nations). We also talked about how important the blood is to us both in our physical bodies and in our spiritual lives. Just as in the natural we need blood to live in the spiritual we need the blood of Jesus to inherit eternal life. The life is truly in the blood. We ended the lesson by reading Hebrews Chapter 9:11-28. That scripture explained to us how Christ fulfilled the role of the High Priest when He died for us. His death meant that no more sacrifices for sin need ever to be made.
