Whether it’s a defining character trait or a family heirloom, sometimes reevaluating why we are holding on to what we are is so deeply imbedded in our identities and our personal histories that the idea of releasing ourselves from said objects or situations feels too overwhelming. However, showing ourselves grace in the decision making process and allowing ourselves the space to ideate a future that’s free from the expectations of our ancestors or forbears can help us open up to our most authentic expression in the moment. By being honest and truthful with ourselves and making a consistent personal inventory a priority, we can ensure that our curated legacies of personal effects reflect the fabulous tapestry of our life’s experiences.
