Join Karaleigh in an interview with the unstoppable Heidi Wideman.
Heidi is a contender and a voice for the voiceless. As a Deaf advocate, Special Needs Mama, Abuse Survivor, and Lipedema Warrior, she coaches others in health, positivity, and life! You’d never know what she’s faced, nor what she daily faces because she shows up with energy, light, and a heart for others.
Favorite takeaways:
1. Sometimes it’s not good or bad- it just is, and it’s what we make of it. You’ve got to take the facts, and it’s the emotion you put with the facts that make it good or bad.
2. Health actually has nothing to do with what you look like. Healthy isn’t skinny.
3. We have to be a voice for the voiceless, no matter what their struggle is.
4. We need to get rid of the shame and just focus on the health.
5. Express gratitude to the parts of you that you maybe don’t love but that deserve love. They have carried and protected you for so long.
6. I love my body. It’s not perfect, and nobody said it had to be.
7. You fit in because you feel like you don’t belong. Once we do belong, then we are no longer ourselves. We’re actually trying to fit in when not fitting in makes us who we are.
8. The only person you can ever be good enough for- the only one who even matters- is you!
