Listen

Description

When we stand firmly on the foundation God has laid, we find inner peace and stability and show others the Holy Spirit in us. God calls us to stand firm because it brings glory to His name and draws people to Him.  Every moment of perseverance in Christ brings greater maturity and fulfillment along our Christian journey. When we stand on the rock, we may stumble, but we will not fall.

Momma Theologians Practical Takeaways

  1. To refocus and energize yourself, read, listen to, and sing the worship song, “Firm Foundation.”
  2. To remind yourself of God’s faithfulness, write or print Psalm 121 and post it where you can read it each morning. This is a truth in which you can stand firm.
  3. Read and reflect on Ephesians 6:10-18. To learn more about the armor of God, consider Priscilla Shirer’s 7-week study, The Armor of God, which can be completed alone, with a partner, or in a group. Or, read our Momma Theologians series of essays about the Armor of God, written by Morgan D. Farr, here.
  4. To feed yourself from God’s Word, challenge yourself to read the Bible in 2022. Dr. Kimberly D. Moore shares a reading plan, weekly thoughts, and small group discussion questions in her book The Bible in 52 Weeks: A Yearlong Bible Study for Women
