Join me this week on the Podcast, as I interview Madee who just got hired into Flight, with working less than 1 year ER, and came from an OR Nurse background.
She didn’t have any certifications and landed this job, by just doing Ride Alongs and Making connections right away after starting in the ER.
She talks about how she got rid of the checklist of the things she thought she needed to do to pursue flight, and honed in on just a few things that mattered.
She talks about how she started connecting and doing ride alongs with companies, and was invited to sit and do an interview, 6 months prior to opening and receiving an offer.
Flight companies are now interviewing 6 months or more ahead of time to put people in their Pipeline.
She talks about how Ride Alongs have helped her find the perfect match and “speed date” what company was the best for her to marry, versus just thinking she could marry a company at the 3 year mark.
The more you try and get time and experiences in different units, it dilutes you. Meaning, it doesn’t let you focus in on getting really good at the department that you are in.
She shares how she slowed down, didn’t overwork and hustle towards this goal, to ultimately make it work for her family life and still take care of herself.
