What’s the best Google Ads bidding strategy? Here, we clear up the confusion surrounding the following: clicks, maximise clicks, and target CPA.
In Google Ads calls only campaign, clicks, maximise clicks, target CPA. Which one is better? Can you please guide me? All right. So I think there's a little bit of confusion, which is fine. And no matter how trivial or silly you may think the question is, please send it across. I don't judge you. And if you're not sure about anything, please send it across.
So clicks is what we do when somebody clicks on your ad that is the click. Maximize clicks is where you are bidding. It's a bidding strategy where you want more clicks coming to your ads or to your website. So that's a bidding strategy. And so is this target CPA. So clicks have got nothing to do with max clicks or target CPA and there is no such thing as which one is better. It's again horses for courses and what you want.
So do you want a lot of traffic to your website no matter what? So for example when it is for raising brand awareness or you want your content to be reached out to as many people as possible. So you are driving traffic, let's say to your blog, where you want your blog post to be read by as many people as possible, then maximize clicks is a bidding strategy. But if you are going after conversions and you want a lead for let's say $10 or a call for $10, then the target CPA would be the one. So as per the last question over here, you set your bidding to max conversions.
Don’t put any target CPA, leave it blank once you had a few conversions. And again different marketers and experts are going to say different things. Google Ads tech support is going to say put in a target CPA straight off the bat. But my reply to that is but Google doesn’t know what a target CPA is. So once we've got 50 or 100 conversions, then we know the average of the target CPA and that's when you put that target CPA in the campaign.
