Why is your search campaign getting clicks but no conversions? If you’re getting plenty of clicks but no conversions or leads, there may be issues with your landing page or website that run deeper than your ad content.
I have set up Google search ads for a client who has an eCommerce store for a brand, two days ago. CTR is 11%, Bid strategy is manual CPC. Okay, Unfortunately, there is no conversion yet. I'll check the keywords, search terms, headlines and ads relevancy. What is the reason? So let me put this back to you. What is your expectation? Are you expecting conversions straight away as soon as you set up the campaign? Because it's just been two days.
The other thing which you also need to take into account that it is not Google's fault that you are not getting any conversions. As long as you are targeting the right audiences and the right keywords, then you know that the problem may be on your website. It could be that the website, landing page experience is not good. It's loading up very slowly and people are then bouncing off add to cart button. It's not visible and it's hidden. It doesn't work properly on the mobile. Have you tested those out? Is your whole funnel on the mobile as well? Because most of the eCommerce sales or online sales are from a mobile phone now.
So you need to check all those things as well. Two days is nothing you need to have. And also it depends on how much you’re spending on as your budget. So you need to test, optimize and then scale it's far too early. And without looking at your campaign, there is no way I could or anyone else can advise you as to what's happening and what's not happening. CTR looks good to me as long as it is not for branded keywords. So you need to have a look at the website.
Secondly, is this a brand new campaign where no ads have run before? If that is the case, then you don’t have any proof of concept. You don't know whether this product is fit for that market or not. If they have been selling online through that website and you've just taken over. Then you need to also look at Google Ads in the campaign to see which keywords are showing. And if those search terms are not relevant, then you need to start adding them as negative keywords.
