Description

Check out my conversation with registered dietician, Diana Myers, as she shares how experiences in her formative years with food and gardening helped shape her current path. As the Nutrition & Physical Activities Supervisor at Georgia’s Department of Early Care and Learning, she and her team train, retain, and inform Child Nutrition Program operators on creative ways to implement new ideas into their afterschool and summer feeding programs. Diana supports the administration of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and Happy Helpings which is Georgia's Summer Food Service Program.
Diana is so passionate about healthy food choices and how we treat our bodies that she nearly became a registered nurse! She candidly shares a few of her struggles during Covid as we both held back tears, reminiscing on our loving grandmothers who are no longer with us physically. Through every detour and challenge Diana has proven to be a relentless wife, mother, daughter, professional, and friend to many.

Catch up with her by sending a message to diana.myers@decal.ga.gov She also has a LinkedIn social account.
