I am one week away from closing on the sale of the only house I have ever bought myself with my own money. I do not have another house to go to at the moment, so I will be houseless for a while and willing to be so. Still, it is a huge void into which I am walking but I am trying to forge ahead in calm and not get overwhelmed and frantic. I'll let you know how that goes...
In less than a week my second-born, my son, turns 30. Hard to believe. I'll tell you what life was like 30 years ago as I prepared for his arrival.
