Often times, when we find ourselves in the hole of depression or unanswered prayers, we miss the opportunity to choose praise in the storm. We spend our time keeping busy as we are freaking out on the boat, and forget that Jesus is right there with us. In fact - calmly sleeping! Lisa Whitaker found herself needing to go back and examine some really difficult seasons and lessons taught in years prior when she realized she had a choice to accept God allowing her first of two son's leaving to serve in the United States Marine Corps (U.S.M.C). Her journaling and coping processes led to her publishing the book, "Dropping Anchor" and new military related projects that are currently in the works.
