If there is a possibility of food or an insect that my dog can dig out of the ground, he is going to take that opportunity. He will start digging wherever he is if he can smell, sense or see something that he wants. And when it's gone, he stops.
We need to dig like a dog.
Many times throughout the day we are given sparks of ideas that are thrown into our field. These bursts of information for us to dig deeper into or to simply float on by.
But when do we start digging and when do we stop.
There are many times that we will follow a spark and it will lead us to a new place of something new and something fun. Other times it could be something that started as fun and we ended up staying there longer than we needed to only because we didn't know how to start digging somewhere else.
When you learn trust your own voice and your own intuition, you will dog like a dog.
