There are so many things that we do and be a part of because we think we have to. Everyone else is doing it to, so I should as well. Or you may think that if you don't want to do what someone else is doing then you will stand out or not be part of the cool crown or be judged for not believing what others believe. This is all false and you do not need to do things just because you think you have to.
Take Christmas for example and what it means for you and why. This year I decided to not really participate much in the whole Christmas idea, some called my The Grinch, others said it was part of my grief. But for me the main reason of why we have Christmas is to celebrate the birth of Jesus (I am not a practicing religious person) so I am not going to be doing that. The celebration of bringing all your family together and giving gifts to each has become over extended to the point it has lost its whole point.
I see where people just buy gifts for the sake of buying a gift, of where Christmas may be a time of feeling lonely for not having loved ones anymore. It can be stressful and cause a lot of pain and even financial stress and debt. For what purpose?
Of course many will have a different effect and it will be a most magical time as well, so I know there will be two ends of the thought. But I believe that we all have a choice to decide in what we do and do not want to participate in, and not because we are just following what everyone else is doing. We all get a choice. We are all just energetic vibrational frequencies, so we get to decide where we match our energy to.
