Description

Today we are kicking off with my new summer series of the podcast where in each episode I will be talking through a chapter of my book
"The Reconstructed Woman: Blueprints for a Beautiful Life".

Today I am talking about denial, and my experience with it. I was in denial about sexual abuse trauma I had gone through. I was getting triggered by people trying to help me because I wasn't ready to face the pain and confront my trauma.

Have you ever felt an uneasy emotion resurfacing when confronted with a disturbing memory, and your initial reaction is to push that feeling back down? You are not alone. Denial is a defence mechanism when we are in crisis mode, but we do need to face the trauma or it will manifest in unhealthy ways.

Christ has helped me find the tools to be able to escape the denial, and confront my past. In this episode, I explain how I was able to do that and I hope it helps you as you navigate through life's challenges.
