Or how about “Get The Hell Out of My Pulpit or Else.” In the words of Marvin Gaye, WTH is going on. Sorry Marvin, that’s my version of your words. The Southern Baptist Convention has decided that women are no longer allowed to lead congregations. That honor, if it still is one, responsibility and/or calling is only open to men. I must emphasize that this decision was made by man and I highly doubt that God was consulted. Why? Why now? Again, WTH is going on? Normally, we here at The Gospel Truth engage in what we lovingly refer to as “Healthy Conversation.” This is not that! With this decision, what are we actually saying about women and their role in the church as well as the world we live in? We always close each episode with three words…..Open Your Mind.
