Description

We are kicking off a new series across all campuses called "What Does God Say?". Pastor Lee Linovich dives into the "juicy" topic of hypocrisy. He uses the powerful analogy of the hollow water oak to show how "heart rot" (fungal decay on the inside) compromises us, causing us to fall when the winds of life blow. Lee reveals why our religious rituals and outward show cannot replace genuine relationship with God. He points out that Jesus called the Pharisees and scribes hypocrites because they honored God with their lips but their hearts were far away. Pastor Lee shares his own vulnerable testimony of feeling too broken to change, emphasizing the incredible truth that Jesus says, "Come as you are". God is not impressed by religious checkboxes or outward performance; He wants your heart, and if you give Him your heart, He will change the behavior from the inside out. Learn why choosing to obey God, even when you don't feel like it, is an act of faith, not hypocrisy. God is drawn to authenticity and will receive a broken and contrite heart.
