The reward is in the process of becoming the person you want to become.
You are more grateful because you write down things to be grateful for. You feel gratitude when you sit in the moment with the stuff and people on your gratitude list and FEEL it in your heart. As you let the list soak into your heart and connect your mind to those things, gratefulness is felt.
When you then take action on that list and voice appreciation for those people and things, and DO something about it, that’s when you know what true gratitude is.
Same for your positive affirmations. Writing words down about the person you wish you were more like in the now, or the future aren’t any good if you don’t give some proof behind those words.
“I am strong!” Only leads to feeling like a fraud and weaker than ever if you don’t do things the strong version of you does.
Gratitude and affirmations are powerful ways to change your brain (identity) at a cellular level but only WHEN YOU PUT SOME ACTION BEHIND THOSE WORDS!
