This week may guest is John O’Connor. John and I talk about leaning into the darkness of life and learning to let go of control to experience the full potential and richness life has to offer.
_____
After graduating from Colby College in 1985, where he majored in the Classics, John went on to get his JD from George Washington University in 1988. John practiced law primarily in the fields of criminal defense, personal injury, and family law until the mid 90s when he transitioned into real estate law, and quickly thereafter into residential real estate brokerage. For the past 30 years John has run a successful real estate business helping people in the greater Boston area buy, sell, and rent homes. Sensing the desire for deeper meaning, or purpose, in life, John went back to grad school where he earned a Master of Divinity degree at the Harvard Divinity School in 2022, all the while continuing to run the real estate business. John was recently ordained as a minister in the Unitarian Universalist tradition and serves as the affiliated community minister for Good Works at Arlington Street Church. John is also currently serving as the guest minister at the Unitarian Universalist Meeting House of Provincetown while the minister is on sabbatical. Oh, and he is still running the real estate business.
