Episode 19
Hey Everyone, in this episode, I have a chance to talk to Ariel Sim from Toronto; she is a rare breed of musician. She has a significant jazz background but incorporates soul, RnB, Celtic, spoken-word, and afro-fusion into her music.
The debut EP, Confessions in the Circle Vol.1, listens like a radio documentary or podcast, containing well-produced tracks mixed in with unedited voice recordings. Ariel is an anthropologist, constantly recording her life, whether it is a long walk in the forest or an impromptu jazz jam with her family.
The lead single "Spirits" also features an experimental freestyle music video reminiscent of something from the '90s hip hop era. Ariel is currently residing in Toronto and working on Volume two of Confessions in the Circle.
