To say this was a fun episode to record would be a pretty big understatement! This was a blast! And yes, we did well over 4 hours of recording (damn near 5 if I recall correctly), but neither Colin Budd or myself were bitter about the length because there is just so much to get into with this draft! Maybe the most fascinating draft of all time. You can find the original broadcast of it on YouTube (simply search 1993 NHL draft, it’s in 3 parts), so we spent a lot of time talking about the broadcast, the ridiculous hype that this draft is getting coming into it, the over the top comparisons that are used on some of the players in the draft, the CRAZY trade speculation that is going on at the time, we had to spend a TON of time talking about Alexandre Daigle as there is just far too much to get into with his career, and then of course you have the re-draft of a draft that isn’t an all-timer and doesn’t match the hype it got at the time, but is without a doubt one of the best of the 90’s.
