The village is essentially the support system you have built to help you in raising your children in a safe environment. I feel we have to be very selective about the members of our village. They need to be people we can
- Be open with in communication
- Understand why you set expectations and meet them
- Trust with our children.

Make a list of the people in your village (or who you would like to include in your village)...
Ask yourself these questions about them to determine if they are good village candidates:
- Are they responsible?
- Are they open minded?
- Can you communicate openly with them?
- Do you respect them?
- Do you appreciate their role in your village?
- Do they respect you?
- Do they openly communicate with you?
