Chris Messina is a musician who resides in Ft Myers Fl. He is the guitarist in the black metal band Nagaina and in the grindcore supergroup Alphanumeric that features Paul Pavlovich(Assuck), Lee Fisher(Fawn Limbs/ex Psyopus), and Josh Gibbs(Malevolent Creation). He is most synonymous for being the founder and guitarist in the Fl grindcore band Swamp Gas that officially formed in 1996. Him and I talked about the extensive history of Swamp Gas from dealing with labels like Earache and Relapse, issues with shady studio engineers,continual lineup changes, members that committed church burnings and murder, and more. We also talked about his new projects, what got him into music and recording, John Zorn,the current state of underground music, Vomit Spawn, and more.
