Following the exploits of one Elliot "White Lightning" Scott and his attempts to make no budget action films and become "Canada's first action star", the documentary begins as a story about a wide-eyed dreamer, only to become something much darker and more compelling than most would expect.
Directed by Matthew Bauckman and Jaret Belliveau, Kung Fu Elliot is one of Trevor's favorite documentaries, and one we here at Catching Up On Cinema feel is criminally overlooked.
