In this episode, Dr. Camille introduces us to Nick Lynch of Superb Health. They will discuss a holistic approach to exercise and weightlifting. Focusing on the whole person to structure a workout around their physical and emotional needs and abilities. Nick also talks about mindful movement and his transition of becoming a father and what that meant for his exercise routine.
Nick Lynch -
In 2001, Nick Lynch started his first personal training job at Body Tech in Barre Vermont. After 7-years of actively training and teaching, and a move to Milwaukee, he turned his passion for helping people into an official business in 2008 and established Superb Health and Performance in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The purpose was and still is to create a safe place for you to learn to live the life you want to live and to be who you want to be. Nick’s mission was founded on his belief that none of us need to wear a label. At SHP you are not an athlete, an injury, out of shape etc., rather, you come in as a human being looking for the support you need to get to know the potential you know exists within.
When it comes to training, it’s not about getting in your face and chewing you up, no, the SH&P style is foundational, simple and fun. When it comes to lifting, skill development is critical to training in a safe and effective manner. You need to have fun if you are to learn. If you have fun, you laugh and oxygenate. If you oxygenate your brain turns on. If your brain is turned on, anything is possible.
