Welcome back everyone, every week I bring you news info that can effect you and alternative products that can bring a little comfort to your life. I'm your host Mike broadcasting live from Los Angeles and today I want to share with you the most recent info on teen vaping data as of this year it has shown a sharp decline over 50% from previous years suggesting teen vaping is on the decline. In This article the various government agencies are questioning if the decline is actually due to less users. The thought is really surrounding the idea that the pandemic may have forced young people to reduce the use as there had been a lack of access. I wondered the same myself as I looked into the data as well.
Due to government regulation over the course of a couple years has forced retailers like myself to implement age verification systems into our checkout process backed by government data bases to ensure we aren't selling to minors, this could be one reason during lockdown the use among teens drastically declined, this is the question mainly the officials of various agencies are wondering.
I have said it before and I strongly believe education is a better tool than over regulation, helping young people understand nicotine and it's use versus just telling them not to use, for example I grew up in a time of the D.A.R.E program and back then though the education was crude in it's approach it did help, in some cases it didn't, I myself as a young teen eventually picked up habits as well including smoking tobacco. But as I am older now with kids of my own I find that approaching it differently may work better such as actually teaching what addiction is, how it works in the body and brain. Afterall we are a chemically driven species in all facets of life and I feel understanding this maybe a better place to begin.
