In this episode, Keith has a conversation about Professional Learning Communities with Scott Hundley, the principal at Northside Elementary School in Midway (Woodford County).
About Mr. Hundley:
Scott Hundley earned an Undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University followed by a Masters in Special Education at Georgetown College and most recently completed a Masters in Administration at EKU. He served for 12 years as a high school special education teacher in Scott, Montgomery, and Woodford Counties. Three of those years he served as the Special Education department chair. He then spent four years as the Assistant Principal at Woodford County Middle School and is now in his 2nd year as Principal at Northside Elementary in Midway, Kentucky. He and his wife Torie have been married for 12 years. They have a beautiful, brilliant 6 year old daughter named Adlee. You can connect with Scott by emailing him at scott.hundley@woodford.kyschools.us
In this episode Scott mentions that he and Keith coached together. They were both assistant coaches at Scott County High School when the Cardinals won the Boys Basketball State Championship in 2007. They then took on a new adventure together, coaching Montgomery County High School for the next three years. Scott didn't mention that he was Mr. Kentucky Basketball in 2000 and went on to play four years at Vanderbilt University. Hundley and Griesser remain good friends to this day - which shines through in this conversation about PLCs.
