Today’s guest comes to the show fresh off of a feature in People Magazine. Owen O'Neill is here and he runs a non-profit called Clinics Can Help, which really doesn't tell you much about what he does but Owen is a registered nurse for more than 30 years, and along the way he saw an opportunity, and at the same time, he saw a need. He saw individuals who maybe no longer were using their wheelchairs or their medical equipment,
and at the same time, he's working in clinics and seeing people who can't afford that very same equipment. This is where Clinics Can Help was born, and now many years later, he and his team of employees and volunteers have impacted tens of thousands of lives.
Patty and Owen discuss how the organization works, the extraordinary amount of people they help, some of the challenges they face, and how they even provide other life-saving items apart from traditional medical equipment.
