As I think about what I said that God might not have needed to establish the ceremonial sacrifices which included ceremonial sabbaths if things had gone differently at Sinai, I realize that the sacrifices were instituted at the gate of the garden with Adam and Eve so therefore I believe that the sacrifices had to continue until Jesus.
