In this episode, Altair and Nicola give an in-depth look at the NBS in the Serchio river basin near Pisa, Italy. The Serchio river basin is a marsh ecosystem and has been designated by Italian law as an area of national interest. In addition to flooding and drought, sediment and pollutant runoff is a problem here. They also talk about their experience in dealing with stakeholder involvement on this project and in particular with citizens and farmers. Finally, they present how ADBS and UNISI are providing hands-on learning opportunities for students through this NBS.
