Oliver Engelmayer who was the project leader for the design of the Isar river restoration in the center of Munich joins us to talk about this restoration project. River restoration projects often fall into the category of NBS, especially if the project has the ability to mitigate flooding as was the case in this project. Oliver presents a little bit of the history of this project and the objectives of this project to mitigate flood and to provide a more natural riverscape for the citizens. He also talks about the implementation of this NBS and the challenges of such a project taking place in a big city.
