Bancroft Hall, Mother B, The Hall, or just Bancroft...no matter the moniker chosen it is the place where a Naval Academy Midshipman will live for four years while working to earn their degree and commission. Named after George Bancroft for the pivotal role he played as Secretary of the Navy in helping to establish 'The Naval School,' the predecessor of the United States Naval Academy.
