In my first, third and fifth years of teaching, I found myself struggling to the point I didn't want to go to work. I had the Sunday blues like nobody's business... until I made a commitment to reset my classroom culture. Each time was a little different and each time was a little better.
You would think that by my fifth year of teaching I wouldn't need a classroom reset... but alas, I did. I was teaching brand new grade levels, and what I thought I knew and wanted to be true, did not come to fruition those first few weeks.
This was not my first classroom culture reset and believe it or not, it was not my last. When I started coaching teachers, I led many through various classroom resets. I supported teachers on the brink of not having their contract renewed to being nominated teacher of the year, who are still in the classroom, now leading schools, classroom, even policy.
I am excited to share these tried and true practices all packaged in a lovely formula.
