Description

''"So when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.  Let the one who is on the housetop not go down to take what is in his house, and let the one who is in the field not turn back to take his cloak.  And alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days!" (Matthew 25:15-19)''.

The Abomination of Desolation is anything that rises up against Christ. As the world turns more and more against Christ and the Gospel, the Abomination of Desolation raises its head just a bit more.

The Abomination is anything that takes Jesus' place as the center of your spiritual life. The Abomination is "standing in the holy place." And when the worst of the abomination happens, it will be distressful for everyone who lives in those times. But most especially for those who believe. At that time, the cares of this world should not weigh us down. We cannot go back into the world for anything or anyone who wishes to stay behind. It is at this point, the point of desolation, that we must remain strong in the faith so that we might receive the crown of life from our Lord. Amen.
