But women will be saved through childbearing--
if they continue in faith, love and holiness
with propriety.

Right after the unusual sound bite, Paul goes on to clarify his statement. Not the actual act of giving birth would mean salvation to women. It's the Child who would be born. The Christ who would be born to take away the sins of the world. Israel's Messiah. A sinner's best friend. The act of giving birth doesn't make a woman holy. It's the faith in the one Child born to save the world.
Jesus came to show us how to live the faith and achieve Heaven through His blood. Not that we earn it. We're given it as a gift when His heavenly Father adopted us into His family. St. Paul calls us to continue in the faith that we are in that blessed state right now. To continue to believe that His blood shed for us has taken away all our sins. Amen.
