Monthly Theme: Second Commandment
Oh give thanks to the LORD, for He is good;
for His steadfast love endures forever.
(Psalm 118:1)
God's steadfast love certainly endures forever. When God gave us the commandment concerning His name, He gave us the proper usage. It's proper for us to use God's name to call upon Him "in every trouble, pray, praise and give thanks" (SC I, 4).
God created us to receive His gifts and be thankful for them. We expect those who receive gifts from us to be thankful. We should be even more thankful for all the great gifts that God has given to us, including the ability to wake up this morning and worship Him. Amen.
