[Jesus said:] "This is eternal life: that they may know You,
the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent."
(John 17:3)
The last line of the Creed talks about the life everlasting. But what is "life everlasting"? Jesus defines it as knowing God and Him. And knowing God means believing and trusting in Him. Everlasting life only comes through Jesus Christ. It's as He says to His disciples on Maundy Thursday: "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me" (John 14:6).
Everlasting life is Christianity. Christianity is the everlasting life that we seek. You want to live forever? Believe in Jesus. Trust Him and follow Him all the days of your life. Amen.
