Description

''When morning came, all the chief priests and the elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death (Matthew 27:1).''

When dawn broke on Good Friday, it was the opposite of the first day of Creation. On the first day, all was dark before God said, "Let there be light" (Genesis 1:3). On Good Friday, all was light before the elders and chief priests said, "Let him be condemned!"

The darkness of Satan's domain became prevalent that morning. His dark powers worked through the envious Jews to have the sinless Son of God condemned to death for blasphemy. He worked to make the light darkness. And for that day it worked.

The Lord of Life was condemned to death. And Satan's minions cheered the verdict. But when dawn broke on the third day, Easter morning, everything was once again reversed. The dead Savior rose from the grave. "God's recreation of the new day." God has recreated you through Jesus' death and resurrection. Satan's dark power has been conquered and you may rejoice in your Savior. Amen.
