As we get ready for the Fall eclipse season, we have the rulers of Scorpio, Pluto and Mars (ancient ruler) meeting up with both the Sun and Venus this week. In this short episode, I discuss what the trine, a fortunate aspect, to Mars may be like this week with the Sun which takes place Monday, Oct. 17th followed by the trine between Mars and Venus on Oct. 18th. I go back a bit and talk about the trines that the Sun and Venus had last week with Saturn as we are still in the energetic orb of those trines. A trine is known as "the nature of Jupiter" because it takes place with planets of the same element, in this case, the element of air. The element of air rules over our thought processes, ideas, communication, discernment, and expression to name a few. With Mars being in Gemini (mutable air) and the Sun and Venus both in Libra (cardinal air) we will have the support we may need to finish projects or have the opportunity to meet people who can be helpful to us in some way.
Our mid-week energy is different as we will have Pluto, who just recently turned direct (Oct. 8th) make a square to the Sun on Wednesday, Oct. 19th followed by a Pluto-Venus square that takes place less than 24 hours after the Sun-Pluto square so in some time zones these aspects occur on the same day. Pluto is in Capricorn, a cardinal earth sign. A square tends to be an aspect that causes friction and planets in this aspect tend to be working at cross-purposes. With the Sun being the planet where we want to be seen and appreciated for who we are meeting up with Pluto, the planet that rules over power as well as all the is hidden this could be a tense couple of days depending on what you are working on, dealing with, or aiming for. Venus spent a lot of time in Capricorn with Pluto at the end of last year and beginning of this year so hopefully with Venus in her home sign of Libra she will be able to find a way to bring compromise to the conversation this week.
One of the challenges that we have with this mid-week conversation is that the Moon will be in Leo, fixed fire and make a square to Uranus in Taurus, fixed earth and Uranus is the planet of surprise and revolution so this aspect could just add some extra energy to whatever situations or relationships are in the forefront of your mind.
We end the week with a Sun-Venus conjunction on Oct. 22nd in the sign of Libra as the last act the Sun and Venus do together in Libra before moving into Scorpio on Oct. 23rd. This conjunction will be a new cycle for Venus which she begins every 8 years. This conjunction gives us the opportunity to be our best and brightest as least for the day. The good news is that you will be feeling the energy of this conjunction before the 22nd so squeeze the last bit of opportunity for balance, creativity, and harmony you can as the week closes out.
