How do you cope if your partner has fatphobic views and you fear rejection if you gain weight? What if they’ve never struggled with their weight and have no concept of just how hard it is to keep pursuing thinness? How can you explore new relationships, dating and find a partner who isn’t fatphobic?

Embarking on an anti-diet journey can be hard to explain to others, especially when we have been deep in diet culture for years. In the beginning you may not have the language or the full understanding of where this might lead to even begin to share this journey with an intimate partner.
