Description

I didn't have a stereotypical Aboriginal childhood, I didn't know much about my culture for a long time. My family denied our cultural identity for all of our safety. I struggled with my cultural identity and I was prejudiced and racist towards my own culture. A friend made me realised that I had racist tendencies, I had to reflect on myself and the way I was brought up. The more I learnt about my culture the more I felt at home.
