I had the privilege of meeting Ashley at a Crisis Training over the summer. Her story, her heart, her tenacity, boldness, and authenticity instantly stood out in the room. As soon as the awkwardness of my damn self was over with, we connected on the first break and she asked if she could hug me. Since then, we have not only shared our stories, but we have kept in touch and I've been blessed to help her along the way of her new career adventures. Ashley is also working on a book that will help support DV and CPS survivors about how to share their stories.

ASFA's vision, first paragraph- "We demand a world where the integrity of all families is valued and family ancestry is held sacred. In this world, we are building healing space for families who have been forcibly separated, and we are collectively building a vision of how to hold families together through all our complexities and experiences. Our village resurrects, and the sound of communal joy resonates from home to home, person to person."
I wish we had more time to share more of her story and I will have her back again to talk more about her Coaching business, career wins and losses since we met this summer and more. She is a beautiful, dynamic force to be reckoned with and I'm so happy to call her my friend!
