I am so happy to introduce Mara aka "Spiritually_Boujee. I met her through loving her content on TikTok and reached out to see if she'd like to be a guest on the show. So, here we are! Mera shares her story of being a mixed, black and white woman, adopted into a white Mormon family, grew up in Utah, and her story of finding herself in the mix of chaos and being disassocative for years.
This episode is not intended to be of religious or spiritual bashing. We each have our own life stories. Mera and I both grew up "Mormon" as members of the LDS church (not the fundamentalists) and our stories differ significantly. We both own our stories including our experiences of religion, leaving it and finding spirituality vs. religion.
