This week we are joined by a man who needs no introduction, but here's one just in case. Mikey Taylor is a retired pro skateboarder turned Co-President of Commune Capital located in California. After spending 20 years gaining sponsorships and brand deals, Mikey turned that entrepreneurial savvy into a sustainable future by buying Saint Archer Brewing Company with a couple partners. After it's sale in 2015, he used that money to start Commune, which invests in self storage facilities (with a combination of reuse and new construction) as well as multifamily. Mikey has an eye for branding, a clear understanding of what new generations want in terms of housing, and truly unique approaches to getting investors on board all of which make him a black belt in the very competitive California real estate market.
