This is day 3 of our journey.

Today we will read about the devastation of the Great Flood and God’s preservation of life. Within 40 days, heavy rainfall and great geysers (the fountains of the great deep) covered the entire surface of the earth to a depth of 22 feet! As Earth is forever changes, God reveals His faithfulness through the protection and deliverance of his Servant Noah. After 40 days of devastation, the land begins to dry out and, 330 days later, Noah and all the animals are able to leave the ark and begin to fill the earth once again. As Noah exits the ark, he makes an offering to God and God, in response, makes a covenant with him that is marked by a miraculous sign in the sky: Never again will God flood the whole earth. Every time we see a rainbow, we are reminded of God's promise to us. Join me in Genesis 7-10 and marvel at the power and the mercy of God!
