https://netbible.org/bible/Joshua+12-14/

This is day 72 of our journey.

Today, we see a list of all the kings who were defeated by Moses (2) and Joshua (31).  This is followed by a description of the inheritance of the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and half Manasseh on the east side of the Jordan.  As Joshua prepares to divide up the land on the west of the Jordan, the 85 year old Caleb approaches to remind his leader of God's promise that Hebron would be Caleb's inheritance.  He trusts God to help him clear the inhabitants of the region and claim the land as his own.

Join me in Joshua 12-14 as the people are beginning to settle down.

Key verses:

Joshua 12:7

These are the kings of the land whom Joshua and the Israelites defeated on the west side of the Jordan, from Baal Gad in the Lebanon Valley to Mount Halak on up to Seir. Joshua assigned this territory to the Israelite tribes,

Joshua 13:32

These are the land assignments made by Moses in the rift valley plains of Moab  east of the Jordan River opposite Jericho.

Joshua 14:14

So Hebron remains the assigned land of Caleb son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite to this very day because he remained loyal to the Lord God of Israel.
