This is day 209 of our journey.

Isaiah continues to speak oracles against the surrounding nations.  Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Seir, and Arabia will all bow before the Lord.  Despite their wickedness and idolatry, They will see Jehovah's great power and will worship him as the one true God in the end.  And what of Jerusalem? Jerusalem will fall, not by force of military, but by the will of the Lord.  He is planning a day of defeat, a day when Israel will be overthrown.  The illegitimate rulers who have led God's children into sin will be dethroned.  God himself will place the rightful heir on the throne, the heir that will bring honor and respect to his family.

Join me in Isaiah 18-22, prepare for the day of the Lord!
