Today we’re sitting down with Jason Logan, creative director, graphic designer, author, ink maker, and the founder of the Toronto Ink Company.
He’s somewhere on the color spectrum between being this alchemical wizard, an artist and father who sees the importance of color in how, on a conscious and subconscious level, it relates to and conducts our very lives; yet still manages to retain his bright eyes and bushy tail. And I guess that’s the most important part.
A total child ready to pounce on the next acorn he comes across, or, on the contrary, cigarette butts. Because acorn caps make for silver, whereas tobacco golden hues. It’s in this bridging of our natural world, with that of our man-made domains, that Jason seeks to imprint his own life into that of his palettes.
Roses are red
and if violets look blue
that’s because Anthocyanins
can vary in hue
I’ve got twitter to thank for that one!
This is Palette with Jason Logan.
