Today we’re sitting down with Artist, Singer, Sustainability Advocate and Model, Rachel Rutt.
Speaking to her individuality, Rachel brings together this understanding and curiosity, traversing various forms of expression that seek to delineate connectivity, community, and consciousness. Speaking to her overall message, it’s to do more. Her work within the artisanal crafts such as weaving, knitting, and embroidery, paired with a background in the fashion industry as a model, has her straddled between generations both young and old. Advocating ethicality, sustainability, and a shift towards the Slow movement, she’s allowed for these to naturally take place within her own pursuits. Touching on, that perhaps, rather than the individual artist with a singular vision, we’re undergoing experiences and creating as a collective people, synchronously addressing and connecting on a level unbeknownst to us.
